The Maidaan movie is based on the golden years of the Indian football team. Directed by Amit Ravinder Nath Sharma for the National Award-winning film ‘Badai Ho, Maidan’, the film has to produce by Bonnie Kapoor, Aakash Chawla, and Arun Joy Sengupta. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Saivin Quadros and Ritesh Shah respectively. Ajay plays the role of Syed Abdul Rahim.

First Look Poster Details:

The makers released two posters on January 30, 2020. Ajay appeared in the first half of the poster. In close-up, the actor can be look in an incarnation never noticed before. Side parted hair, a bushy mustache, and a loose t-shirt make him fit for the season. The second half of the poster has an oblivious shot of the coach coaching the team during the rain. We see the full look on the main character. Dressed in formals, Ajay kicks a football, grabs an umbrella and bag, and appears with a light smile on his face.

Movie Plot:

Inspired by an incredible true story, the Maidan movie story showcases the journey of one of the best coaches to emerge from India, putting India on the world map. The movie is based on actual events between 1952 and 1962, also known as the “Golden Age of Indian Football”.
